The Daiwa Procaster 4000A is mainly characterized by its ABS spool (reverse taper spool), which allows the line to unwind easily. The latest technological innovation concerns the further extension of the diameter of the coils, made of aluminum with lightening holes. In addition, the ABS II spool has a very thin upper edge, so that friction with the line is reduced and casts can reach longer distances.
The Procaster presents another peculiarity: a tubular stainless steel Air Bail bow, a choice that guarantees a high level of resistance and lightness, much higher than that of the versions with a full section bow subsequent to this one.
The high technology of the Procaster reel is also demonstrated by the Twist Buster titanium line roller and the One Touch Handle, which can be reclined thanks to a button which reduces the size of the reel and facilitates insertion of the rod into the sheath.
