J-BRAID EXPEDITION: the new frontier of fishing braids, smoother, stronger and more durable, for uncompromising performance in every fishing challenge.
The J-Braid family grows even bigger with the new J-BRAID EXPEDITION. Made with the same IZANAS fiber that made J-Braid so popular, it now incorporates Daiwa's Silicon "Coating PE" technology, which creates a smoother, more flowing braid with hydrophobic properties that increase durability and improve sensitivity.
J-BRAID EXPEDITION’s silicone coating prevents the braid from absorbing water. This means, importantly, that it will also not absorb mud or sediment present in the water, which are the main cause of braid wear over time. Thanks to its hydrophobic properties, J-BRAID EXPEDITION repels water, ensuring a longer life than traditional braids, offering more value and better performance.
But the benefits don’t stop there: thanks to an incredibly dense weave, J-BRAID EXPEDITION is worked more tightly than almost any other line on the market, resulting in a braid with an incredibly rounded profile that won’t separate or fray during use. Daiwa’s tradition of producing the finest braids on the market is further strengthened with the introduction of J-BRAID EXPEDITION.
Available in three color options, high visibility orange, dark green and multicolor, in spools of 150m, 300m, 500m. Sizes range from 0.06mm to 0.42mm. J-BRAID EXPEDITION is designed to help you be a great angler!

IZANAS Fiber
IZANAS fiber is an advanced material used by Daiwa in the production of its fishing braids, such as J-Braid Expedition. This fiber is known for its high strength and durability, characteristics that contribute to improving the performance of braided lines.
The IZANAS fiber construction gives the braid a round profile and tightly woven structure, reducing stretch and increasing sensitivity when fishing. In addition, the use of Daiwa's "Coating PE" silicone coating technology makes the braid smoother and more water resistant, further improving its longevity and overall performance.
