Maggot Fishmeal is one of our most popular baits, we knew that maggots were one of the best baits ever and for this reason we wanted to exploit their ability to catch fish in the form of groundbait.
Fishing worms come from the blue bottle fly, which is the flavoring used in the preparation of Maggot Fishmeal groundbait. A unique groundbait blend of crushed pellets, fishmeal, breadcrumbs, meat extracts and cereals, created for all species of coarse fish, particularly carp, F1, sea bream, tench and roach.
Mixing Guidelines
Maggot fishmeal is simple to mix. Empty the 2kg bag of groundbait into a round mixing bucket, fill a 2 liter maggot tub with water, pour this over the groundbait and mix thoroughly, then leave to sit for 30 minutes, during this time the water will be absorbed into the groundbait . So to get the best results; to eliminate any lumps and create a uniform consistency, pass the groundbait through a sieve and it is ready for use.
When fishing the sun and wind can dry out the groundbait a little, to counteract this you can cover the mixed groundbait with a damp towel or if it dries out simply add a little more water and mix again.
