Description
Wafters have been used by specimen anglers for many years. Wafters were first introduced by Sonubaits 2014 in smaller sizes to appeal to match anglers. Since then flavors and colors have changed but the principle remains the same.
A wafter should float, but sink slowly with the weight of an attached hook. This critically balances the wafter and makes it float. Because it spreads when a fish is feeding, it will rise more quickly than a standard bottom bait into the fish's mouth, resulting in more hooked fish.
If it sinks without the weight of the hook then it is not a wafter, it is a normal sinking bait and will not work as it should. Always check your wafter in a tub of water before using it.
Band'um Wafters are a lure that has a float between a bottom bait and a pop up, designed to counteract the weight of the hook.
Perfect for use with a Method Feeder, the Band'um Wafter sits just above the pile of pellets or groundbait on the Method Feeder, meaning that when a fish feeds, the Band'um Wafter shoots into the fish's mouth bringing to faster and quicker bites.
A Band'um is the perfect bait for use with a bait band, its unique cylindrical shape with bulbous end means they can be banded with ease using a pellet band or bait band and bait band It sits neatly in the thinner central section of the Band'um, this means the hook sits perfectly just below the center of the bait, meaning a more hooked fish. Plus, the Band'um is less likely to get pulled out of your hair, meaning you can fish more safely and efficiently.
