Daiwa Lever Drag LD Reel made to meet the needs of hardcore saltwater anglers around the world. SALTIGA LD from USA, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia, every little bit of feedback and experience has been absorbed and packaged into what could be described as Daiwa's best Lever Drag reel ever built before. It all starts with the precision-machined one-piece aluminum body and side plates. This rigid shell contains what differentiates SALTIGA LD from its competitors: control wheel and pinion gears made of stainless steel. The gears, made of stainless steel, are harder than brass and far more resistant to the worst marine conditions in which this product will be used. The gears, also in stainless steel, are much more refined and smooth, and at the same time more powerful and long-lasting than anything else on the market today.

SALTIGA LD had improvements in any of its component organs. A drag chamber that is smooth and capable of handling both mono and braid has been one of the most formidable improvements. The lever has been completely redesigned to allow finite and precise clutch control even at the lowest settings.

Automatic progressive clutch. With the ATD the brake on the clutch reacts gently to the initial stress, then progressively sets to the set "brake".

CRBB: Daiwa CRBB bearings are free from corrosion thanks to the grease inserted inside them and sealed with special cheeks on both sides. The surface of the sphere is then hardened by a special heat treatment.
