G FREE BODY

G Free Body technology was developed to move the reel's center of gravity to a point closer to the rod. This was achieved by moving the worm swing mechanism upwards by approximately 19mm. By moving the center of gravity closer to the angler's hand position, G Free BOdy technology helps improve fishing sensitivity.

AR-C SPOOL

AR-C Spool Shimano is a patented spool, designed with a flared upper lip. This design allows the line to exit the spool with less friction and with smaller coils, resulting in longer, more precise casts. AR-C spools reduce the chance of wisps and tangles when using braid. AR-C spools are now standard on almost all Shimano reels.
