Description
THE Gekkabijin MX they are the new reels Daiwa dedicated to ultra-light fishing techniques, both at sea and in fresh water.
Lightweight and robust, they are equipped with a body and rotor made of DS4, a carbon-based material, therefore totally free from corrosion. Great reliability and durability are guaranteed by Magsealed technology: this system uses a special magnetized oil membrane to protect the internal mechanics from dirt, water and salt, extending the longevity of the reel.
High mechanical performance is guaranteed by 7 ball bearings (one of which is CRBB with anti-corrosion technology) and by the larger Tough Digigear gears, for better power transfer.
The spool is ABS Long Cast aluminum: the particular shape of the upper edges reduces friction with the air and guarantees longer casts

Technologies:
MAGSEALED
A special magnetized oil membrane seals the pinion outlet from the body, preventing water from penetrating the body. The technology, used by NASA in fuel lines on spacecraft, is unique to Daiwa in the sector. it is intuitive that the absence of water and dust inside the body preserves the mechanisms from the risk of corrosion, extending the life of the reel. On the more advanced reels, the system is also applied to the benefit of the line guide and the control wheel, other weak points to be protected. Both applications affect the smoothness of rotation, reducing friction and increasing the pleasure of fishing.
ATD
Automatic progressive clutch. With the ATD the brake on the spool reacts gently to the initial stress, then progressively sets to the set "brake".
AIR ROTOR
Not just an engineering phenomenon that affects the smoothness of rotation and the balance of the reel: the Air Rotor is first and foremost a pleasure for the eyes.
CRBB
Daiwa CRBB bearings are free from corrosion thanks to the grease inserted inside them and sealed with special cheeks on both faces. The surface of the sphere is then hardened by a special heat treatment.
AIR BAIL
Daiwa tubular headband. Lighter and more resistant than a traditional one, it has a special conical fitting that gently guides the line towards the reel, even in the absence of tension.
INFINITE ANTIREVERSE
A maxi-roller bearing, which rotates in only one direction, is responsible for the "one-way" rotation, i.e. without that annoying "step back" common to reels equipped with a normal anti-reverse.
TOUGH DIGIGEAR
Superior level gears, developed from the famous Daiwa Digigear. The Tough Digigear components have increased in size and improved materials, guaranteeing better performance, reliability and durability over time.
LC ABS
It is a technology that combines the characteristics of ABS spools with Long Cast technology. The upper edge is composed of two edges gradually oriented outwards to further reduce the friction of the exiting line
CROSS WRAP
The crossed coil spooling guarantees better collection of the line, improving its release during the casting phase.
