The AIRDRIVE DESIGN is the new construction concept developed to improve fixed spool reels, optimizing their lightness, smoothness and reducing their rotational inertia without compromising their sturdiness. It is based on the redesign of the key components of the reels:
AIRDRIVE ROTOR
The new rotor AIRDRIVE ROTOR with a design aimed at reducing rotational inertia, it maintains solidity and resistance while weighing less than the previous Air Rotor, thanks to significant structural improvements.
AIRDRIVE SPOOL
The Coil AIRDRIVE SPOOL it is optimized in terms of weight and functionality, improving its oscillation. The anti-kink wire baffle and the revised clicker mechanism help improve the user experience.
AIRDRIVE BAIL
The AIRDIRVE BAIL headband is thinner, lighter and at the same time resistant than the previous one. Its inclination has been revised in order to improve the sliding of the thread towards the thread guide roller.
AIRDRIVE SHAFT
The new AIRDRIVE SHAFT minimizes friction and power dispersion, ensuring smooth and silent rotation; the Main Shaft, supported by special collars, moves without contact with the pinion, differentiating itself from traditional systems.
BODY
MONOCOQUE BODY
Technology MONOCOQUE BODY gives the reel extreme structural rigidity and greater resistance to stress. Thanks to the one-piece body, it is also possible to accommodate a larger drive wheel, improving rotation and power transmission. The MQ concept also allows you to increase resistance to dirt and salt, increasing its durability.
TOUGH DIGIGEAR
With technology TOUGH DIGIGEAR the cold forged Duraluminium gears increase mechanical performance allowing the housing of components larger than the size of the body.
MAGSEALED
MAGSEALED technology is a special magnetized oil membrane that seals the pinion exit mouth from the body, preventing water from penetrating the body. The absence of water and dust inside the body preserves the mechanisms from the risk of corrosion, extending the life of the reel. On the new CERTATE 2024, the system is also applied to the benefit of the yarn guide and the control wheel, other weak points to be protected. Both applications affect the smoothness of rotation, reducing friction and increasing the pleasure of fishing.
MAGSEALED BODY
This special magnetized oil membrane MAGSEALED allows you to protect the entire drive wheel from dirt and salt, exponentially increasing durability and efficiency.
MAGSEALED LINE ROLLER
The wire guide roller is one of the parts most subject to infiltration of dirt and salt, which is why the wire guide roller is equipped with a bearing MAGSEALED which guarantees greater smoothness in any situation.

ATD TYPE - L
The new ATD-Type L clutch, borrowed from the top of the range Exist, is even smoother and more progressive, helping to improve modulation and reduce stress on the line.

AIRDRIVE DESIGN

An evolution of the famous Air Bail, the Airdrive Bail is thinner, lighter and more resistant at the same time. Its inclination has also been revised in order to improve the flow of the thread towards the roller.
The latest innovation regarding the bow is the AIRDRIVE BAIL version - solid, lighter than the previous one (8%) and more resistant to stress: the durability and resistance over time of the mechanism

MONOCOQUE BODY
The reel body is a single piece of machined material. This makes it more robust, rigid and sealed against salt air. The monocoque body allows the accommodation of a larger control wheel, improving rotation and increasing power.
MAGSEALED
A special magnetized oil membrane seals the pinion outlet from the body, preventing water from penetrating the body. The technology, used by NASA in fuel lines on spacecraft, is unique to Daiwa in the sector. it is intuitive that the absence of water and dust inside the body preserves the mechanisms from the risk of corrosion, extending the life of the reel. On the most advanced reels, the system is also applied to the benefit of the line guide and the control wheel, other weak points to be protected. Both applications affect the smoothness of rotation, reducing friction and increasing the pleasure of fishing.
ATD
Automatic progressive clutch. With the ATD the brake on the spool reacts gently to the initial stress, then progressively sets to the set "brake".
The progressive clutch concept is taken to the extreme with the new ATD-TYPE L:
now the resistance of the discs is even more progressive and modular, allowing for more effective and safe recovery even with thin wires.
HARD BODYZ
Hard Bodyz is the logo that distinguishes the aluminum alloy body, light and non-deformable, it is unsurpassed in techniques where the reel undergoes great stress.
CRBB
Daiwa CRBB bearings are free from corrosion thanks to the grease inserted inside them and sealed with special cheeks on both faces. The surface of the sphere is then hardened by a special heat treatment.
TOUGH DIGIGEAR
Superior level gears, developed from the famous Daiwa Digigear. The Tough Digigear components have increased in size and improved materials, guaranteeing better performance, reliability and durability over time.
LC ABS

TB3 TWISTBUSTER
Twist Buster III is the new version of Daiwa's anti-twist technology which, thanks to the addition of another groove on the line guide roller, allows the flattening effect of the line to be reduced to a minimum when it is retrieved.
CROSS WRAP
The crossed coil spooling guarantees better collection of the line, improving its release during the casting phase.
INFINITE ANTIREVERSE
A maxi-roller bearing, which rotates in only one direction, is responsible for the "one-way" rotation, i.e. without that annoying "step back" common to reels equipped with a normal anti-reverse.
