More modern, more effective, more beautiful.

The new Caldia takes the qualities that have made it famous over the years and takes them to the next level: exceptional lightness, excellent build quality and, last but not least, a simple and elegant style. The body is still a monocoque ZAION V, but all the technological innovations brought by the AIRDRIVE DESIGN construction concept have been introduced. Introduced on the top-of-the-range 22EXIST and gradually adopted on the other series, the Caldia now features improved rotor, spool, bail arm and line roller. The drag has also been changed: the ATD-L is very smooth when it comes to dampening the initial stress of the fish and then tightens to effectively slow the runaway. The 5000 versions, however, new sizes for this series, feature a more powerful drag: an ATD Tough with carbon washers, to more effectively fight large prey.

AIRDRIVE ROTOR

The new Airdrive rotor built into the ZAION V has a more symmetrical and balanced design, built to minimize weight and rotational inertia.

AIRDRIVE BAIL

A next-generation solid bail, super-light and ultra-strong. Its unique shape, combined with the new Twist Buster 3 roller, makes it much more effective at smoothing the line, significantly reducing the risk of tangles while fishing.

AIRDRIVE SPOOL

A newly designed spool, lighter and redesigned to maximize line flow and avoid tangles during recovery, thanks to the lower profile with a redesigned edge.
