The humble roach is a major prey item for many freshwater predatory fish around the world and we have studied the behaviour, features and movement of this species in detail to create a series of lures that will provoke aggressive attacks from hungry prey. The Savage Gear 4D Roach series of lures is based entirely on a 3D scan of a real roach and will amaze you with its detail, realism and incredible swimming action. Simply put, this is the pinnacle of roach imitation, looking and swimming exactly like the real thing. Our famous Line Thru system has been further developed, so that the hook can swing freely on the outside of the body at the widest point, ensuring a great hook set and even better landing rates. The new Little Line Thru modifier is a great innovation and the lure can easily be converted to take two treble hooks. The lure's high profile body provides an incredible S-shaped swimming action that cuts and slides sideways while rotating - a movement that simply drives pike crazy. The slow sinking version has a Line Thru channel that runs through the mouth and sinks very slowly. It can be pulled and twitched to perform spectacular glides. The moderate sinking version is deep with an S-shaped action, moving a lot of water and really attracting the biggest fish.
