The bulbs used in Lightforce lights have been carefully selected to ensure maximum performance and durability. This is done by measuring and qualifying the efficiency in converting watts to *candles. This combined with the superior Lightforce reflector is what creates the light output that Lightforce is famous for.
For technicians:
The size and shape of the bulb filament combined with the design of the reflector determines the concentration of a focused beam. The shape of the filament will determine the type of beam, for example a vertical filament (VF) bulb will give a circular beam, while horizontal filament (HF) will give a slightly oval spot.
Special requirements? No problem!
Lightforce has bulbs available including 12V 20W, 30W, 50W, 75W and 100W plus 24V 50W and 24V 100W for specialist applications. If using the light in conjunction with a portable battery-powered unit, a lower wattage bulb will increase your time in the field.
