Who wouldn't want to reach the summit with completely dry feet? We have a solution: TIBET GTX. Climbing, multi-day tours in the Alps or strenuous trails: with the Vibram-MASAI rubber sole, tackling these conditions becomes a real pleasure. The additional rubber edge along the perimeter keeps stones and dirt away.

THE MAXIMUM OF PRECISION

CLIMBING ZONE
TIBET GTX has a CLIMBING ZONE. This is a flat structure of the front area of the sole that allows you to climb on easy sections.
The high-performance VIBRAM outsole is designed for use on alpine terrain. The "Climbing Zone" at the tip of the sole allows precise support on steep rock. Furthermore, the arrangement of the lugs ensures that dirt comes off the sole as you walk. The comfort you feel especially when going downhill, however, is all thanks to the characteristic heel.

GUARANTEED PROTECTION AGAINST THE WEATHER

GORE-TEX
Guaranteed protection even when it rains or snows heavily: TIBET GTX is equipped with a GORE-TEX membrane. The innovative technology guarantees maximum waterproofness and breathability.

Long-lasting waterproofness
The membrane is waterproof, you can be on the safe side. It doesn't matter what your next adventure will be: thanks to GORE-TEX technology your feet will remain pleasantly dry, that's a promise.

High breathability
The breathability of GORE-TEX shoes has been optimized, so they offer maximum comfort even during the most strenuous activities. Water does not penetrate the shoes, while steam manages to escape from the billions of pores in the GORE-TEX membrane.

Windproof
The GORE-TEX membrane protects against wind and weather, so you can go on your excursion in any weather.

FOR A CORRECT FIT

TWO ZONE LACING
Thanks to the two-zone lacing, you can adjust the laces on the forefoot and upper part of the TIBET GTX separately. In this way it is possible to adapt the shoe to the specific anatomy of the foot and modify the lacing when going up and down.

FEWER SEAMS FOR MORE COMFORT

MINIMAL SEAMS
The seams and overlays of the TIBET GTX are minimized by using very large pieces of material for the upper, thus reducing pressure points and increasing comfort.

LACE, LOCK, LACE

I-LOCK

Pull and lock: To simplify the lacing of the TIBET GTX, LOWA has developed a special loop that allows the shoe to be laced in two areas. After pulling the laces at the bottom of the shoe, simply use the clamp hook to lock the lace in the desired position. Lift the hook to unlock and loosen the lacing.

LIGHTER ON FOOT

ROLLER EYELETS
The small spheres inside the TIBET GTX's metal loops minimize friction in the eyelets, so the laces can slide smoothly.

EVERYTHING IN ITS PLACE

X-LACING
A tongue that stays in place without slipping and pressing on the foot? Thanks to technology

X-LACING by TIBET GTX

it's finally possible. The special lacing fixes the tongue both vertically and horizontally, regardless of the height of the instep, so it is perfect for any anatomical shape. Thanks to this technology, the pressure of the laces does not only weigh on the hooks but is distributed evenly over the entire tongue.

COMFORT STEP BY STEP

FLEXFIT®
The foot can roll better if the upper of a hiking shoe is slightly flexible, with a notable saving in energy when climbing and a tangible advantage in terms of comfort. For this reason, LOWA has inserted a flexible zone and a so-called "Lace Loop" in this area of the shoe in the TIBET GTX. This involves moving the eyelet and using a deeper hook which improves the position of the heel and facilitates flexion of the foot.

PERFECT ADAPTATION TO THE ANATOMY OF THE FOOT

C4-TONGUE

The special structure of the TIBET GTX tongue significantly increases the comfort of the shoe. For example, the tongue is thicker on the outside of the foot and has a soft end at the top edge. The asymmetric padding supports different areas of the foot optimally. To take into account the anatomy of the feet, the recesses for the ankle areas are higher on the inside than on the outside, while a flexible insert is integrated into the inside of the foot.

Vibram
Very valid Vibram rubber sole produced by the Italian company famous for its quality.

MIDSOLE

100%

Polyurethane (PU)
Polyurethane (PU) is a soft plastic that has excellent shock-absorbing properties and is therefore mainly used for midsoles. Thanks to the PU content, the soles become lighter and more flexible in their function.

INNER SOLE

Polyester

Polyester is an artificial plastic fiber that is produced from petroleum. From a chemical point of view it is a polymer that can be processed to obtain many other different materials. Due to its chemical flexibility, polyester is lightweight, dries quickly, does not shrink and has high resistance to tearing and chafing.

Approx. 10%

Mesh
The mesh fabric is made up of many small meshes, normally made of polyester or nylon, and from a technical point of view it forms a grid which is created by threads connected to each other. Thanks to the particular manufacturing technique, this synthetic fiber fabric is particularly exuding, absorbs humidity, does not require special care, is fresh and creases little.

Viscoelastic latex foam

The viscoelastic latex foam has a special polymer that gives it a particular shape memory. As soon as it senses body heat or pressure, the viscoelastic foam adapts perfectly to the profiles allowing a balanced distribution of weight and less load on the foot.

EXTERNAL MATERIAL

100%

Nubuck leather
Nubuck leather is a type of full grain leather in which the grain side is lightly sanded, resulting in a velvety appearance. Nubuck leather is characterized by its long life, robustness and open pores. Depending on the desired look, the suede can remain untreated during the manufacturing process or be oiled or waxed.
