The TIBET SUPERWARM GTX model is equipped with a Vibram® Arctic Grip sole. This is cutting edge technology. The sole is made with a special rubber blend, designed to offer excellent performance and maximum quality. Good grip on snowy terrain: this is the purpose for which this sole was designed.

The large lugs with their special Ice-Trek rubber compound are the real ace up the sleeve of the VIBRAM® MOTTARONE ARCTIC GRIP high-performance winter sole. With this sole walking in winter is a real pleasure.

The breathability of GORE-TEX shoes has been optimized, so they offer maximum comfort even during the most strenuous activities. Water does not penetrate the shoes, while steam manages to escape from the billions of pores in the GORE-TEX membrane.

X-LACING® by TIBET SUPERWARM GTX is finally possible. The special lacing fixes the tongue both vertically and horizontally, regardless of the height of the instep, so it is perfect for any anatomical shape. Thanks to this technology, the pressure of the laces does not only weigh on the hooks but is distributed evenly over the entire tongue.

The foot can roll better if the upper of a hiking shoe is slightly flexible, with a notable saving in energy when climbing and a tangible advantage in terms of comfort. For this reason, LOWA has inserted a flexible zone and a so-called « Lace Loop » in this area of ​​the shoe in the TIBET SUPERWARM GTX. This involves moving the eyelet and using a deeper hook which improves the position of the heel and facilitates flexion of the foot.

Pull and lock: To simplify the lacing of the TIBET SUPERWARM GTX, LOWA has developed a special loop that allows the shoe to be laced in two areas. After pulling the laces at the bottom of the shoe, simply use the clamp hook to lock the lace in the desired position. Lift the hook to unlock and loosen the lacing.

The special structure of the TIBET SUPERWARM GTX tongue significantly increases the comfort of the shoe. For example, the tongue is thicker on the outside of the foot and has a soft end at the top edge. The asymmetric padding supports different areas of the foot optimally. To take into account the anatomy of the feet, the recesses for the ankle areas are higher on the inside than on the outside, while a flexible insert is integrated into the inside of the foot.

Thanks to the two-zone lacing, you can adjust the laces on the forefoot and upper part of the TIBET SUPERWARM GTX separately. In this way it is possible to adapt the shoe to the specific anatomy of the foot and modify the lacing when going up and down.

The seams and overlays of the TIBET SUPERWARM GTX are minimized by using very large pieces of material for the upper, thus reducing pressure points and increasing comfort.

The small spheres inside the TIBET SUPERWARM GTX's metal loops minimize friction in the eyelets, so the laces can slide smoothly.

TIBET SUPERWARM GTX faces the extreme conditions typical of winter with a high quality 400 g/m² synthetic fiber insulation. Thanks to insulation comparable to that of down, the shoes keep your feet warm even during the winter months.

Excellent thermal performance
Primaloft® insulation offers an excellent ratio between thermal performance, weight and volume. The heat retained is comparable to that of good goose down. And the fibers are so soft and light that they adapt to the shape of the body.

Water repellent
PrimaLoft® insulation is water-repellent. The material retains its shape even when wet. During their production, the very fine microfibres have already been provided with a special water-repellent finish, which is inserted into the fibre. Thanks to this treatment, humidity does not adhere to the material.

PrimaLoft® insulation ensures high comfort. Thanks to the very small thickness of the fibers, heat can be retained effectively. For the same volume, the fibers contain more air but are also compressible. The result? High comfort but also the ability of the fibers to quickly return to their initial shape and insulation that keeps its shape stable over time.
