The new Salathé approach shoe, stable, precise, light, was developed to meet the needs of all those who have always dreamed of a product "from the car to the top".
Baptized with the name of one of the most iconic climbing places, it was created for via ferratas and technical approaches, but its extreme comfort and versatility make it perfect for trekking and hiking.
The particular height, called "up-cut", combines the freedom of a low shoe with the protection of a mid. The fit is enveloping and precise thanks to the use of elastic materials and a new construction with lacing up to the toe.
The upper, in embossed suede, is protected by a 360° band to increase its resistance to wear and rubbing against rocks and gravel. Salathè is water-repellent thanks to the specific Hydroblock ® treatment, and its waterproofness is guaranteed by the GORE-TEX Extended Comfort lining.
The elasticized and breathable tongue exponentially increases the comfort of the shoe, as does the preformed collar made with a new technology that allows it to provide support while optimizing the use of the material.
The microporous midsole features two different densities to provide cushioning and torsional rigidity at the same time; its construction gives the shoe cushioning and protection, while the Vibram® Pepe sole with Megagrip® compound ensures excellent grip on different types of terrain.
