Description

A special version of the Airity, the lightest Daiwa spinning reel ever, redesigned in an ultra-specialist key for super-finesse techniques.
The 23 AIRITY Sensitive Tune - Super Finesse is a reel that makes absolute lightness, sensitivity and extreme smoothness its strong points. The Magnesium body is super compact, giving this reel a record lightness: the scale stops at just 130 grams.
To make the reel even more fluid and sensitive than the standard Airity, oil bearings have been used, which make the rotation "freer" and "lighter" than standard bearings. To have an even smoother rotation, the magnetized oil protecting the pinion has been eliminated. The drag is a very sensitive ATD-L Super Finesse with 3kg of max drag, calibrated to offer progressivity and millimetric precision.

AIRDRIVE ROTOR
A new rotor, completely redesigned and re-engineered to offer exceptional smoothness: the new design allows for a reduction in the weight of the rotor and a further reduction in the degree of inertia in rotation.
AIRDRIVE SPOOL
A newly designed spool, designed to be even lighter and with a re-shaped skirt, ensures superior oscillation quality and greater sensitivity. The design of the internal part has also been revised to give a more characteristic sound to the clutch buzzer.
AIRDRIVE BAIL
A new one-piece bow with a reduced diameter that allows to limit its weight while maintaining great resistance and solidity. A new inclination angle has also been studied to further optimize the sliding of the line inside the line-guide roller, also redesigned to maximize smoothness.
AIRDRIVESHAFT
An innovative system that guarantees the complete absence of contact between the main shaft and the pinion.
The latter is now supported at the ends by bearings for an even more efficient transfer of power to the rotor.

IMPORTANT WARNINGS on use
This reel has been designed to enhance the performance of sensitivity and precision, specifically designed for Trout Area and Trout fishing in micro-streams. Therefore, it is necessary to be careful not to use it in more demanding techniques that may compromise its durability and correct functioning. Please keep in mind the following indications:
  1. Do not retrieve the line with excessive tension as it may damage the spool and the internal mechanics. The recommended tension for retrieval is 100g for Nylon, 200g for PE.
  2. It is recommended to set the clutch load around 800 g or less. Retrieving with too high a load can cause damage and problems in rotation. Be especially careful in the event of snagging. It is also recommended not to over tighten the clutch.
  3. The Airity ST SF has been developed for the use of nylon, fluorocarbon and Ester up to 4lb load and PE lines up to 0.6mm diameter, but it has been designed for Super Finesse use, we therefore recommend always using lines below the limits indicated.

AIRDRIVE DESIGN is the new construction concept developed to improve fixed spool reels, optimising their lightness, smoothness and reducing their rotation inertia without compromising their robustness.
It is based on the redesign of the key components of the reels:
AIRDRIVE ROTOR
The new rotor, with a design aimed at reducing rotational inertia, maintains solidity and resistance while weighing less than the previous Air Rotor, thanks to significant structural improvements.
AIRDRIVE BAIL
Evolution of the famous Air Bail, the Airdrive Bail is thinner, lighter and at the same time resistant. Its inclination has also been revised to improve the sliding of the line towards the roller.
The latest innovation regarding the bow is the AIRDRIVE BAIL version - solid, lighter than the previous one (8%) and more resistant to stress: the durability and resistance over time of the mechanism
opening has more than doubled.
AIRDRIVESHAFT
New Airdrive Shaft minimizes friction and power dispersion, ensuring smooth and silent rotation; the Main Shaft, supported by special collars, moves without contact with the pinion, differentiating itself from traditional systems.
AIRDRIVE SPOOL
Optimized spool for weight and functionality: weight reduction for better oscillation, anti-kink line deflector and revised clicker mechanism for a clearer sound.

Monocoque Body
The body of the reel is a single piece of machined material. This makes it stronger, more rigid and sealed against salt. The monocoque body allows for the housing of a larger drive gear, improving rotation and increasing power.
ATD
Automatic progressive clutch. With the ATD the brake on the reel reacts gently to the initial stress, then progressively adjusts to the set "brake".
The concept of progressive clutch is taken to the extreme with the new ATD-TYPE L:
now the resistance of the discs is even more progressive and adjustable, allowing for more effective and safe recovery even with thin wires.
Zaion
The microscope highlights the multidirectional carbon microfibers, responsible for absorbing stress and providing extraordinary rigidity. On the scales, a shiver: at the same volume, it weighs 50% of Aluminum. It is Zaion, the composite developed by Daiwa to obtain structures with performances similar to those of metals, at a lower cost because they do not require anti-corrosion treatments. TOUGH DIGIGEAR
Superior gearing, developed from the famous Daiwa Digigear. Tough Digigear components have increased in size and improved materials, guaranteeing better performance in terms of reliability and durability over time.

It is a technology that combines the characteristics of ABS coils with Long Cast technology. The upper edge is composed of two edges gradually oriented towards the outside to further reduce the friction of the outgoing wire.
