The Descender Storm Jacket is a jacket made from our new Techstretch Storm fleece. It offers full-face wind protection and lightweight water repellency, with minimal weight and good moisture management when you're moving in the mountains. This technical piece with a full zip and multiple pockets has been designed and constructed with the utmost attention to detail.

L2 - MID LAYER & THERMAL LAYER
It provides additional thermal insulation while promoting sweat transpiration thanks to high breathability.
The exclusive patented technology TECHSTRETCH™ STORM , made of a single woven layer, combines softshell and fleece to achieve the perfect balance between breathability, wind resistance and water repellency. Its tightly woven surface blocks wind and water even without lamination, making it resistant to washing. With its single-layer construction, the fabric is lighter and less bulky than 2- or 3-layer fabrics. Its soft, fleecy interior encapsulates warm air while protecting from the cold. It has a slight stretch that guarantees complete freedom of movement during activity, while dissipating excess heat.
TECHSTRETCH™ STORM prepares outdoor enthusiasts and athletes for any sudden change in weather conditions and keeps them comfortably warm and dry. Traditional 2- or 3-layer fabrics tend to shed more microparticles in the wash due to lamination or loose weave. With TECHSTRETCH™ STORM’s unique, patented technology of a single woven layer, the fi bres are tightly bound together to minimize the amount of microparticles that end up in the drain. A single layer means no foam or adhesive. It also means the fabric is only dyed once. This eliminates many manufacturing steps and saves valuable energy and water resources.

The term microparticles is used to describe particles that are released from clothing during production, use and at the end of its life and become pollutants in the environment. Microparticles can be released from all fabrics and can therefore include both synthetic (plastic) and natural (cellulose/protein) materials. During washing, synthetic clothing releases tiny fragments of plastic known as microparticles (particles smaller than 5 mm). To prevent the release of synthetic microparticles, La Sportiva has introduced new fabrics that reduce their dispersion.
