Description

The first certain news of this knife dates back to some illustrated tables from the second half of the 19th century but in all likelihood it derives from models already in use previously. The three pianelle is a typical model of Scarperia and its name derives from the processing of the three planes for each face of the blade. In the past it was more commonly called a "style knife" or "stiletto" which suggested a decidedly offensive use and the distant descent from a weapon gives a slightly sinister charm to this model. a straight and slender shape, the blade is very pointed and at the base of the heel there is a file incision with a St. Andrew's cross, a pair of metal disks called "rings" finish the final part of the handle, closing the two sides of the curl. Open measurement 20.5 cm Blade length 9.5 cm Weight 65g
