KNIFE - EXTREMA RATIO SATRE BLACK

Satre is a fixed blade knife of small dimensions, light and extremely resistant. Given its characteristics, it is used in a wide range of disciplines and uses ranging from survival activities, bushcraft or as an element of an EDC (Every Day Carry) kit.

It was designed in collaboration with Daniele Dal Canto, Master Advanced FISSS instructor (Italian survival sports and experimental federation). In Neck Knife mode, using a 550 paracord lanyard, it is possible to keep it around the neck by keeping the knife vertical with the handle facing downwards.

The metal eyelets on the sheath made of pre-shaped Kydex allow the application of both the lanyard and the accessory holder. Starting from January 2022, exclusively on www.extremaratio.com, the ULTICLIP system will be available as an optional, which allows you to attach the sheath not only to the belt, but also to pockets, trousers, jackets, shirts and t-shirts.

ULTICLIP makes it possible to position the knife both horizontally and vertically, making it usable by both left-handed and right-handed people.

The full-tang skeletonized structure allows you to customize the knife by using Paracord as a covering for the handle.

Satre is available in three versions with two different types of steel: The Black and Stone Washed versions use Böhler N690 heat treated to 58 HRC. This material is chosen for its ability to resist oxidation, for the durability of the wire and above all the reliability it has demonstrated over the years.

The Black S600 version uses Böhler S600 steel instead. This steel is used in industrial production to make metalworking tools and in mold making.

The high content of molybdenum, tungsten and a good presence of vanadium in its chemical composition give it excellent qualities of hardness, wear resistance and toughness.

The presence of Cobalt favors the formation of small, uniformly distributed carbides, a characteristic that enhances and increases wear resistance. The Satre S600 is hardened and cryogenically treated, thus reaching an exceptional hardness of 64 HRC. This gives it great resistance to wear and the ability to guarantee the cutting edge of the wire for a long time. Böhler S600 has 4.5% chromium, making it an oxidizable steel. For this reason Extrema Ratio has chosen the new EXP DARK covering.

The high hardness and resistance to wear and abrasion make this steel not easy to sharpen. To ensure that your SATRE always has a very sharp cutting edge, we suggest using the double grain (diamond-ceramic) sharpener produced by Extrema Ratio.
