AIRDRIVE DESIGN: a new quality standard.
The rotor and arch of the new Fuego are AIRDRIVE type: completely new and designed to minimize rotation inertia. Thanks to the new structure, the rotor (built in ZAION V, a special carbon composite) is now 40% lighter but even more resistant. This translates into an even smoother rotation, with reduced inertia and capable of giving greater control to the movement of the bait during recovery.
The bow is also now designed to improve anti-tangle performance: tangles are reduced to a minimum, thanks to the shape of the bow that allows the line to slide and return to the correct position in the blink of an eye. A feature further facilitated by the new Twist Buster 3 line guide roller, equipped with an additional groove capable of holding the line in place better.
Magsealed Technology
A special magnetized oil membrane, exclusive Daiwa technology, protects the internal mechanics, reducing the penetration of dirt and salt into the body. An effective protection to improve the durability of the reel, especially for those who fish in marine environments.
New ATD clutch - L
The new Fuego is equipped with Automatic Tournament Drag Type - L, a new generation clutch, even more progressive and precise than before.
The wide range of sizes (from 1000 to 6000), together with its robustness, compactness and resistance to salt water, make the Fuego the ideal reel for the most diverse fishing techniques, including the demanding ones in salt water.

LT (LIGHT TOUGH)
LT Technology introduces new and smaller reel dimensions but at the same time makes them more durable. A compact body design with a stronger Digigear drive wheel for a perfect combination of lightness and strength.
AIRDRIVE DESIGN
AIRDRIVE DESIGN is the new construction concept developed to improve fixed spool reels, optimising their lightness, smoothness and reducing their rotation inertia without compromising their robustness.
It is based on the redesign of the key components of the reels:
AIRDRIVE ROTOR
The new rotor, with a design aimed at reducing rotational inertia, maintains solidity and resistance while weighing less than the previous Air Rotor, thanks to significant structural improvements.
AIRDRIVE BAIL
An evolution of the famous Air Bail, the Airdrive Bail is thinner, lighter and at the same time more resistant. Its inclination has also been revised to improve the sliding of the line towards the roller.
The latest innovation regarding the bow is the AIRDRIVE BAIL version - solid, lighter than the previous one (8%) and more resistant to stress: the durability and resistance over time of the mechanism
opening has more than doubled.
AIRDRIVESHAFT
New Airdrive Shaft minimizes friction and power dispersion, ensuring smooth and silent rotation; the Main Shaft, supported by special collars, moves without contact with the pinion, differentiating itself from traditional systems.
AIRDRIVE SPOOL
Optimized spool for weight and functionality: weight reduction for better oscillation, anti-kink line deflector and revised clicker mechanism for a clearer sound.
The various components of the AIRDRIVE DESIGN can be present on the new Daiwa reels in whole or in part depending on the model.
MAGSEALED
A special magnetized oil membrane seals the pinion outlet from the body, preventing water from penetrating the body. The technology, used by NASA in fuel pipes on space shuttles, is exclusive to Daiwa in the industry. It is intuitive that the absence of water and dust inside the body preserves the mechanisms from the risk of corrosion, extending the life of the reel. On the most advanced reels, the system is also applied to the benefit of the line guide and the drive wheel, other weak points to be protected. Both applications affect the smoothness of rotation, reducing friction and increasing the pleasure of fishing.
ATD
Automatic progressive clutch. With the ATD the brake on the reel reacts gently to the initial stress, then progressively adjusts to the set "brake".
The concept of progressive clutch is taken to the extreme with the new ATD-TYPE L:
now the resistance of the discs is even more progressive and adjustable, allowing for more effective and safe recovery even with thin wires.
ZAION V
Zaion V is the new super composite material developed by Daiwa to further improve the performance of Light & Tough reels: it is as light as its 'big brother' Zaion and significantly more rigid and resistant to stress than DS5 and DS4 materials. The mechanical properties of Zaion V allow the creation of bodies and rotors of a lower weight than DS5 and DS4 materials: the internal mechanics can therefore work at their best, guaranteeing greater fluidity and superior resistance to fatigue resulting in lighter and higher performing reels. But that's not all! Zaion V is a carbon fibre-based composite and is therefore totally insensitive to corrosion, even when used in salt water.
TOUGH DIGIGEAR
Superior gearing, developed from the famous Daiwa Digigear. Tough Digigear components have increased in size and improved materials, guaranteeing better performance in reliability and durability over time.
LC ABS
It is a technology that combines the characteristics of ABS coils with Long Cast technology. The upper edge is composed of two edges gradually oriented towards the outside to further reduce the friction of the outgoing wire.
TB3 TWISTBUSTER
Twist Buster III is the new version of Daiwa's anti-twist technology which, thanks to the addition of another groove on the line guide roller, allows to minimize the flattening effect of the line when retrieved.
INFINITE ANTIREVERSE
A maxi-roller bearing, which rotates in one direction only, is responsible for the "one-way" rotation, that is, without that annoying "backward step" common to reels equipped with a normal anti-return.
CROSS WRAP
The cross-coil spooling ensures better collection of the line, improving its release during casting.
