The ideal tool for harvesting morels, porcini mushrooms, chanterelles, trumpets of the dead, field mushrooms, drumsticks, porcini edulis... etc.
The 8cm blade is curved for easier cutting. The toothed rear part allows you to scrape and clean the mushroom. The natural bristle brush behind the oak handle is ideal for dusting the collection.
The pencil case also comes with a carrying case.
- Blade length : 8 cm
- Sandvik 12C27M stainless steel : Sandvik's modified 12C27 stainless steel developed for Opinel is known for its cutting edge and easy maintenance. Stainless steel capable of undergoing the heat treatment that gives it its excellent hardness is called martensitic. It has a carbon percentage of at least 0.40% which allows you to obtain a very satisfactory cut without being sensitive to corrosion. Blade hardness 57-58 HRC
- Handle : Oak is a hard wood, very resistant, especially to insects and fungi thanks to the high tannin content. Coming from French companies, it has a yellow-brown appearance, with straight and regular veins. The handle is painted to protect it from dirt and humidity.
- Safety ring : Invented in 1955 by Marcel Opinel, the Virobloc safety ring is present on all folding knives starting from N°06. Carved from stainless steel, the Virobloc consists of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (safety of use), it is now possible to lock the blade in the closed position (safety of transport).
