Typical of Sicily, more precisely of the Catania area, this knife owes its name to the shape of the blade which resembles that of a razor. It became widespread following the Giolitti law of 1908 which placed very severe limitations on the carrying of sharp knives and which favored the production of various models with a truncated tip. The blade is slightly curved backwards while the concave grinding means that it is also called a razor wire. Simple without any gasket, the handle is made from a solid piece of horn or wood cut in the middle to make room for the blade and spring. Open size 19.5 cm Blade length 9 cm Weight 60g
